a Journey Through Shadows
Hi. I'm Kayleigh...
I guide others on a path I have walked myself, one that began with trauma, depression, and a deep sense of being lost.
As a child, I felt disconnected—shy, anxious, and deeply misunderstood. Later, I turned to alcohol to feel confident, but it led me into situations that were harmful and unsafe.
My mum was a great influence. She had a creative, joyful inner world and taught me to trust my dreams. But she also carried deep emotional pain.
When I was 17, her sudden passing marked a turning point in my life. The shock, the stillness, and the surreal experience of that moment became the foundation for my understanding of grief, trauma, and survival.
The Turning Point: An Inner Awakening
In 2012, with a subtle but steady nudge from my dad, I took on the challenge of a 10-day Vipassana meditation retreat. Stepping into that silent space, I was sceptical—could simply sitting in stillness for ten days truly change anything?
But the experience was transformative. It brought a lifetime of buried emotions to the surface and fundamentally shifted something within me. I learned to face my inner world without distraction, sitting with grief, anxiety, and restlessness, allowing them to move through me.
After that first retreat, I ended up attending several more.
With each one, subtle but profound changes began to unfold. My mind, once consumed by noise and a sense of feeling lost, started to feel clearer. My spirit, which had been so disconnected, began to feel more connected and grounded. The more I committed to the practice, the more I started to transform from the inside out.
Meditation and Buddhist connections
This path led me to Samye Ling Tibetan Buddhist Centre, where I received teachings directly from Drupon Rinpoche. It was here, through the profound wisdom of the Kagyu lineage, that I first began to genuinely understand that…
Freedom is Possible
On a later visit, I attended a talk by Charlie Morley on the transformative potential of Lucid Dreaming. I had always experienced vivid dreams, but I had never considered them a genuine tool for inner awakening. That single talk opened a new perspective and set me on a profound journey into the world of lucid dreaming.
Dreamwork as a Path to Healing
Lucid dreaming became my gateway—not just to awareness in sleep, but to deep emotional healing.
It marked the beginning of a whole shift in perspective. I dedicated myself to the inner work, diving into practices that were not only healing, but also fun, exciting, and mind-expanding. I didn’t become lucid every time, but something profound was happening. Even my non-lucid dreams began to carry more awareness, more meaning. And when lucidity came—when I became conscious within the dreaming mind—it was an incredible, empowering feeling.
Each dream became a mirror. Each one offered insight, emotional release, and the chance to reclaim lost parts of myself. I was amazed at how these night-time journeys could ripple into my waking life—softening old pain, helping me face buried emotions, and guiding me toward wholeness.
Over time, I changed—layer by layer—from the inside out.
Ancestral Roots & Tibetan Lineage Wisdom
As my dream practice deepened, I was guided toward the Toltec/Mexica dream tradition through the teachings of Sergio Magaña.
This shamanic approach, rooted in ancient Mesoamerican wisdom, offered a powerful complement to my Tibetan Buddhist path. It opened up a new dimension of self-exploration, connecting me more deeply with the unconscious and ancestral memory.
Each of my encounters with spiritual leaders has reminded me: we all carry the seed of vastness within us. I have been blessed to meet and learn from:
• His Holiness the 17th Karmapa
• His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
• The 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche
• Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, the Western nun who meditated in a Himalayan cave for 12 years
Each of these encounters reminded me: we all carry the seed of vastness within us. We all hold the potential for deep transformation, spiritual strength, and a return to our true nature.
My Mission: Guiding You Home
Today, I bring together my personal experience and professional training to guide others along their own spiral inward.
I’m here to help you turn toward your own shadows with courage, discover the gifts they hold, and begin your own powerful journey toward healing and wholeness.
I believe true freedom lies in integrating every part of who we are—both the light and the dark. I created the Spiral Dreams Method to be a compassionate and practical roadmap for this work, one I have walked and continue to walk every day.
There is a version of you beyond what you’re experiencing right now.
